Daybook - June 1

Outside My Window... Nice sunny mid 70's day.

I am thinking... it's almost time to leave for a birthday party we're attending for a 3 year old.

I am thankful for... no major catastrophies while Michael is away.
From the learning rooms... phonograms 35-43, addition drills, reading a few more verses in Proverbs, "Under the Sea"

From the kitchen... tortilla pizzas and fruit for dinner

I am wearing... a long denim skirt and red and white sleeveless top.

I am creating... a packing list

I am going... to Florida in 2 weeks (I miss my family and friends)!!

I am reading... "The Awakening" by Kate Chopin (not sure if I will continue this book, seems it might get inappropriate sexually) but I could be very wrong. Then I'll start on the complete set of Jane Austen novels

I am hoping... Rachael is feeling better when she wakes from her nap.

I am hearing... boys playing.

Around the house... bathrooms need to be cleaned and everything needs dusted.

One of my favorite things... my garden. It's coming along nicely, we might even get to eat some lettuce from it next week.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week... birthday party to attend today, appt. tomorrow morning, meal for MOPS friend who had a baby, physical therapy for Eli (thankfully all of these things are on different days)

Here is picture thought I am sharing...

Daybook

March 30, 2009

Outside My Window... very peculiar weather - past 24 hours: 2" snow, hail, thunder, HIGH winds and now snow again

I am thinking... it's time to do some school work with the boys

I am thankful for... my heated home

From the learning rooms... counting by 5's and telling time and reading aloud Mr. Popper's Penguins with Jacob

From the kitchen... philly cheesesteak sandwiches for dinner

I am wearing... jeans (I know, I know, but it's snowing out and I have a very strong aversion to tights, so no skirt today) and a blue top with cream colored flower and vines

I am creating... a chore chart for Jacob (5 y/o)

I am going... to take Rachael for her 6 month checkup in an hour

I am reading... "The Treasure Deep" by Alton Gansky

I am hoping... for real spring weather soon

I am hearing... the boys playing nicely together

Around the house... the kitchen floor needs a good scrubbing and breaksfast dishes need to be put in the dishwasher

One of my favorite things... the zeal my kids have for learning

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Michael and I are taking Jacob to see the Harlem Globetrotters on Friday night!

Here is picture thought I am sharing...
